TREEHOUSE IN BLOOM

Michael Murphy, of Barefoot Treehouses, is a creator whose work knows no restraints. 

He builds from his heart with nature as his muse and allows the trees to guide his work. 

 In the episode Treehouse In Bloom, we were invited to fill his latest build, a gorgeous, hand crafted treehouse, from top to bottom with flowers for the reveal to his clients and their friends. 

 We sourced all the flowers locally from a 3rd generation flower Farming couple, Chai and Chi Chamee. The abundance of late Summer brought us bright yellow Sunflowers, tall pink Snapdragons, vibrant orange Dahlias, happy white Cosmos to name a few. 

 Being just minutes away from Snoqualmie Falls, we took a note from the water fall and cascaded white statice flower down the stairway to create a dramatic entrance. The thrill of the project came as we attempted to get a piano up the narrow stairway to the balcony high in the treetops. 

 You must see the reaction of the music-loving client when she sees this sunflower-adorned sight for the first time! 

 This project remains one of my faves – with breathtaking drone shots of the flower fields under a cotton candy-pink sunset. It was great to have a few of my kids along too!
