about katie
Big-time dreamer,
human connector,
& curious soul on an endless bloom hunt
I’m on a mission to make fresh flowers a cultural expectation. Not just a novelty, but a norm.
I’ve navigated many facets of the flower-verse – from running a floral event business, to crafting large-scale art installations, and producing my own flowercentric TV series. Now I integrate fresh flowers into the mainstream fabric of society through innovative floral experiences that spark joy, cultivate community, and invite curiosity.
If my creativity had a theme song, it would be a quirky tune on a ukulele titled, “What Else Can We Do With Flowers?”
(Can’t you just hear it?)

Working with Katie and her team was such a joy. Her vision for an exhibit of live dahlias in the library, a river of flowers, was incredible! What a gift it was for the people of Spokane to be able to enjoy this exhibit!

After a career doing everything in the floral space, Katie Lila channeled her creative energy into a huge flower party – and she invited everyone to attend. Her visually beautiful and immersive TV series, “Follow the Blooms,” begins on the flower farm, continues from design concept to production, and ends with an artistic, large-scale botanical installation for the community to experience. The series is a joy to watch and even more fun to be a participant and guest!
